General Hygiene Tasks

It is of the utmost importance for a hospitalised patient that there is focus on the quality of hygiene, so that no skin problems or other complications arise during his or her stay.

Tending to patient hygiene often presents challenges in relation to maintaining dignity, respect and comfort. The patient's medical condition and physical limitations often reduce his or her functional capacity when it comes to taking part in daily hygiene and care.

This means that care assistants may often be subject to uncomfortable working positions and lifting that can cause physical strain and lead to work-related injuries.

It is therefore of the utmost importance that the ergonomic working environment is safe and healthy for the staff, so that they can maintain a high level of quality in patient hygiene-related tasks.
